NOTICE 08/10/2008: EagleCard ID's for both new and returning students are available at the residence halls for residential students and in the ADUC lobby for Commuter and Non-Traditional students. Meal Plans begin Friday, August 15th. Students will need their new EagleCard ID's to access their EagleCard Meal/Dining/BeakerBUCKs accounts.
NOTICE 07/17/2008: Summer 2 students who are also registered for fall classes and who have a photo on file will now be included in the mass student recarding event to occur beginning August 11th and not with the Employee recarding event to start July 23rd. Please visit the Student link to the left for details.
NOTICE 07/02/2008: The EagleCard Office along with other departments and individuals will begin the process of activating and testing readers across campus associated with the new contactless card system beginning July 7, 2008. This process will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks. Faculty/Staff will be notified when and where to pick up their new EagleCard ID's shortly.
NOTICE 06/27/2008: Individuals with CampusCash balances left on the current EagleCard will have the opportunity to transfer their balance to the NEW BeakerBUCKs account. After you receive your new EagleCard, bring both ID's to the EagleCard Office in ADUC and we will transfer the funds for immediate use.
NOTICE 06/27/2008: The add value stations for CampusCash have been removed to prepare for the implementation beginning July 7th. To add funds to the CampusCash chip for temporary use, please stop by the EagleCard Office.

An enhancement of Morehead State University's EagleCard (ID) system is scheduled to occur during the summer of 2008. The need for this change began with the decision to replace the current SmartChip system and the 200 associated readers currently installed on vending, laundry, computer lab printers and selected copiers on campus. The EagleCard Office will continue the use of chip technology, but is taking it a few steps further. The new EagleCard ID's will feature an internal contactless chip that will be used to access student on-campus accounts. This will include student Meal Plans and other declining balance accounts. By utilizing this tap-n-go contactless technology we will be able to better serve the student population of Morehead State University. Staff members from several departments on campus have been working on plans to launch the improved system beginning fall 2008. The new system will be a networked contactless “Tap-N-Go” solution utilizing the University’s current database that controls meal plans and declining balance accounts. This transition will help create a more structured and secure environment on campus and take advantage of current and new technology which will benefit students, faculty/staff, and the University.
The implementation process will occur during the the months of June and July. This will include setting up network connections, restructuring accounts, removing old readers, installing new readers, and finally, programming and incrementally bringing the new readers online beginning July 7th. During this transition there will be a time during the months of June and July certain locations will be "cash only" due to the number of readers being replaced and the time it takes to bring all readers online. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Because of this, please refer to the Locations link to the left to help track the readers for functionality. This list will be updated regularly and will help card holders track the implementation and functionality at specific locations.
